10/27/04 - Wadsworth came back from an 0-2 deficit to oust last year's state semifinalist Austintown-Fitch (more details).

St. Henry topped Marion Local 25-19, 25-22, 17-25, 25-22 to advance to the district final.

District/Regional Picks (Division II/III/IV write-ups added 10/25/04)

10/24/04 - Lightning never strikes the same place twice, or so the adage goes, but don't tell that to Kings (22-2) who saw their season end at the hands of Bellbrook on Saturday 25-15, 21-25, 25-23, 25-19. Kings only other loss was on September 2 to Bellbrook. (more details).

The New Bremen Sectional lived up to its billing with four tense matches. Fort Recovery struggled to get past New Knoxville 18-25, 25-16, 11-25, 25-16, 15-9, but then battled St. Henry to the wire before bowing 18-25, 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 15-10. Marion Local won tough four game matches over New Bremen and Minster. St. Henry and Marion Local will meet in a district semifinal rematch of their league encounter wherein St. Henry lost two games then won the next three.

In Central District, Delaware Hayes beat Westerville North, Hilliard Darby ousted Olentangy Liberty, Dublin Scioto nipped Gahanna and Jonathan Alder surprised Bishop Ready (Central District Sectional Results).

Versailles defeated Oakwood for the second time this season 25-13, 25-15, 25-21.

Seton knocked Mount Notre Dame out 28-26, 25-16, 25-17.

Last Wednesday, Wadsworth knocked off Stow 25-20, 20-25, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11. Sophomore Aimey Reynolds had 21 service points with four aces, and she and sophomore Jen Uhl led the Grizzlies in kills (more details).

10/22/04 - Kings Beat Little Miami and Bellbrook topped Hamilton Badin to set up a meeting between the two on Saturday. The Knights have won 21 straight since September 2 when Bellbrook handed them their only loss.

Seton will meet Mount Notre Dame in on Saturday in what is certainly the toughest Sectional final in the state.

Tallmadge (9-14) knocked off Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary (20-3) in three on Tuesday.
