2006 Highlights

10/6/06 - McAuley seems to be peaking at the right time of the season as they won their eighth straight match, taking a hard fought battle over second ranked Mt. Notre Dame 26-24, 23-35, 27-25, 25-23. The Mohawks, whose ranked win streak victims include Ursuline, Cincinnati St. Ursula and Solon, were paced by Kelly Torok on defense and Kristen White on offense, with Rachel Krabacher leading in blocks. The Mohawks finish their regular season at Mercy on October 10th.

9/8/06 - Ursuline Academy was victorious in a long and typical GGCL battle. The Lions dominated game one and McAuley followed suit to secure the next two games with strong blocking up front. Game four was a struggle with Ursuline fighting back to edge the Mohawks 26-24. Using their strong defense, the Lions roared back from a 13-9 deficit in game 5. McAuley will host Ursuline in a rematch on September 26. 

8/26/06 - McAuley swept Bishop Watterson and St. Henry (Ky.) in two games each, led by Kristen White and Rachel Krabacher.
