2003 Highlights
St.
Ursula was named National Champion by PrepVolleyball.com, and setter Bryn Kehoe
was named National Player Of The Year. Kehoe was recruited by national Division
I power Stanford.

- St. Ursula toppled Kentucky power Louisville Assumption 26-24, 25-13.
Despite the one-sided second game, this match could have gone either way. That's
because Assumption led 24-21 in game one. Since Assumption was the host, the
match was played under rally scoring rules in which a point is scored on every
play. That makes comebacks difficult because a single mistake, even when its
your serve, is fatal when the other team is at game point.
St.
Ursula had difficulty passing and blocking in game one, but got both of those
going in the second game. Stanford bound setter Bryn Kehoe had 28 assists and
two jump serve aces. Beth Gillming had seven kills and was very effective with
no errors. Beth Shelton, who caught fire in game two, led with 10 kills.
