Highlights
St. Ursula is one of the two Div. I teams to beat
this year, the other being Ursuline. St. Ursula looks the stronger of the two,
having beaten Ursuline twice, 6-15, 15-6, 20-18 in September, and again 13-15,
15-12, 15-11 in the rematch. However, Ursuline beat Roger Bacon 15-9, 15-6, and Bacon beat St. Ursula 15-7, 11-15,
15-5. Bacon played a great match against St. Ursula.
On Sept. 28 St. Ursula knocked off perennial
Kentucky state Champion Louisville Assumption 15-6, 8-15, 15-10. Early in the
season Assumption won Muncie Burris' tournament, and on October 5 they won the
Nike Classic, beating then undefeated Sandburg (Ill.).
St. Ursula won Toledo St. Ursula's quad which
included St. Henry (Ohio) and Holland Springfield. St. Ursula has also beaten Mercy, Seton and Mount Notre Dame
convincingly.
Oct. 1 -
Cincinnati St. Ursula clinches
league title.
