10/19/04 - Convoy Crestview Topples Undefeated Bluffton

The Convoy Crestview Lady Knights upended the undefeated, #13 state ranked Bluffton Pirates in a total team effort on Monday night, 25-18, 25-22, 25-21. This moves the Lady Knights to a 9-0 NWC record and another Northwest Conference title, their 14th overall. Leading the attack for the Lady Knights were Courtney Springer 27/33 with 16 kills, Ashley Holden 19/22 with eight kills, and Shea Dietrich 33/39 with six kills. Leading servers included Jamie Perkins with an outstanding 29/29 and three aces, junior Alisha Etzler 14/14, and Shea Dietrich 9/9 with an ace. Leading the Knight offense was Etzler, setting an impressive 60/60 with 22 assists. The Knight defense was led by Perkins and Dietrich. Crestview moved to 14-7 on the season and Bluffton now stands at 18-1. The Lady Knights underwent a brutal schedule this season suffering tough losses to Archbold, Hopewell-Loudon, Galion, Norwalk St. Paul, Old Fort, Lancaster, and Sycamore Mohawk. They play always tough Rockford Parkway tonight.

08/23/04 - The schedule features matches with the always tough Archbold Blue Streaks, Galion, and Parkway, as well as Mohawk and Hopewell-Loudon. The Lady Knight Invitational has an incredible field featuring perennial powers Lehman Catholic, Frankfort Adena, Old Fort, Norwalk St. Paul, and last year’s 3A state runner-up in Indiana, Concordia Lutheran. An interesting tri-match will pit last year's Division IV state semi-finalist Fort Jennings with Division I Lancaster.
