Rocky River Magnificat Blue Streaks (20-7)

Highlights

Magnificat has played a brutal schedule. They finished second in their Fall Showcase, losing the final to Toledo St. Ursula 10-15, 10-15. At times the Blue Streaks took it to the Arrows. They won the first two matches over Norwalk and Austintown-Fitch in three. Magnificat won the Rocky River Invitational, beating Mentor in the semi-final in three, then edging Rocky River for the championship 16-14, 15-13. At Mercy's Fall Classic, Magnificat lost to Notre Dame (Ky.) Academy and Chaminade, but beat St. Henry (Ky.). They have also beaten Walsh Jesuit and Amherst in three, and lost to Lake Catholic in three. On 9/25 they beat Mentor on the road 15-9, 15-12. At Wooster they beat Mansfield Madison 15-12, 15-12 and Wooster, and lost to Cin. Ursuline. They also beat Cle. St. Joseph Academy.

09/25/02 - Senior setter Kailee Goold had 21 assists and eight service points as Magnificat won at Mentor 15-9, 15-12. Juniors Mary Kate Glowe and Katie Richardson had eight kills and six blocks, respectively.
