Highlights

10/15/04 - Bacon finished the regular season at 20-2, with a 25-18, 25-21, 25-17, victory at home over McNicholas last night before a packed Senior Night house. Bacon's seniors, Jessy Hoeh, Lauren Sheppard and Alyssa Carlotta, led the way with great defense and hitting. McNicholas was led by Sara Staubach and Katey Schroeder, but their blocking and hitting couldn't overcome the fired up Spartans. McNicholas finished at 18-4.

10/13/04 - Roger bacon (19-2), defeated Hamilton Badin 25-9, 25-14, 25-11, putting them back on the winning track and setting up a big GGCL match with McNicholas on the last night of the regular season.

10/12/04 - In another example of the GGCL beating up each other, Mount Notre Dame hosted Roger Bacon and handed them their second defeat of the year in a match which went five games, 25-14, 13-25, 20-25, 25-23, 17-15.

MND’s setter Mindy Rees blocked exceptionally in game one setting the tone for the match (defense). Bacon took control of game two at the midway point due to Katie Veatch’s serving of six straight points. Games three, four, and five were a test of each teams determination with long, hard fought rallies that resulted in MND’s victory.

It was like old home week for the members of Team-Z volleyball club. At least seven of the young ladies who participated in the match played for the club last JO season.

10/6/04 - In a match played on 10-5-04, in Louisville, Roger Bacon was taken to four games against a determined Louisville Mercy team. Bacon won the first two games with little problem, 25-15, 25-17. In the third game
Bacon seemed to fall asleep and had difficulty passing, while Mercy
played excellent defense. Mercy won the third game 20-25. In game four
Bacon started slowly but righted their passing problems midway and had
strong serving to pull ahead for a 25-19 victory.
