2003 Highlights
Oct. 9 -
SUA won the Toledo City League Title for an unprecedented 4th year in a row last
night over Clay High School. They have a 46 win match streak going in the City
League. Clay upset #2 seed, Central Catholic on Tuesday to get a spot in the
final.
The score in the
Final was 15-3, 15-13. Clay had a 6-0 lead and 13-9 lead in the second game
before SUA took over. Sarah Florian had 8 kills, Hayley Wiemer was perfect in
game 1 with 5 kills. Allison Mugler had 6. With SUA down, 12-13, Kelsey Hills
served 3 straight tough serves and the final one was an ace. All 6 SUA seniors
were named to the All-City All Academic team on Tuesday night.
