Highlights
10/11/02
Versailles Volleyball finished the
regular season this week at 18-4. Three of our losses were to Marion Local
(18-2 and #2 in D-4) twice, and St. Henry (19-2 and #4 in D-4) once. Both
of these teams are in our league (Midwest Athletic Conference), along with
Minster (16-4 and #7 inD-4), who was the highest ranked team we beat this
season.
10/04/02
Versailles Volleyball upped our record
to 16-3 overall with wins over
Coldwater and Covington this week. Our loss came to St. Henry (17-2), who
is ranked #5 in D-4. We play Marion Local (#2 in D-4) again and Fort
Recovery next week to close out our regular season.
9/28/02
Versailles Volleyball had another very
good week, earning three more
victories, raising our record to 14-2. We play St. Henry, Coldwater, and
Covington this coming week, and Marion Local and Fort Recovery the
following week.
9/20/02
Versailles had another very good week,
earning four more victories,
raising our record to 11-1 overall. Things don't get any easier in the
next two weeks with upcoming league matches with St. Henry, Marion Local,
Coldwater, and Fort Recovery.
09/13/02
Versailles is now 7-1, two more
victories this week over New Bremen and Bradford. We play
New Knoxville, Fairlawn, Newton, and Miami East next week.
09/06/2002
Versailles is currently 5-1, with the one
loss coming to Maria Stein
Marion Local (6-0), who is # 1 in the state, and was in the top 10 in state in
D-4 all last season (13-15, 8-15). We beat D-4 state semifinalist Minster
(5-1) in
two games, 15-9, 15-12. We returned 4 starters from our Regional
semifinalist team from last season. We play New Bremen and New Knoxville
next week.
