Highlights

10/19/07 - The Eagles finished the regular season with the best record in school history at 20-1, after beating Westerville South, Big Walnut and Centerburg in a quad match last Saturday at Westerville South.  They were ranked # 2 in the final D-I Coaches' poll. Their only loss was to Mt. Notre Dame on Sept. 29 in Cincinnati.

Through the 21 matches of the regular season, Miami University (Ohio) recruit Cassie Farrell had 165 kills, 105 blocks and 10 aces; Claire Lee had 87 kills and 10 aces; Katie Sumner had 85 kills, 85 blocks and 8 aces; and Maria Harmon had 83 kills and 33 aces.  Watterson won the Central Catholic League and was undefeated in league play after beating Bishop Hartley for the 2nd time this season on Oct. 9.  In that match, Farrell had 15 kills and 8 blocks, Lee had 11 kills and Harmon had 10 kills. 

Watterson won their first two tournament matches over Marion-Franklin and Pickerington Central, giving up a measly 44 points total in six games. If they and top ranked Cincinnati Mother of Mercy continue winning, fans will be treated to a battle of the state's top two ranked teams in the Hilliard Davidson regional final on November 3.

In the Hartley match on 9/13, Farrell and Lee both had 13 kills, and Farrell had 8 blocks and Sumner 7 blocks to lead the team.
