The visiting Rangers took early 4-2 and 6-4 leads in the first game. But Whitney Magers served five points in a row, including a jump serve ace, to put the Stockaders up 9-6. Magers hit a spike that was blocked out of bounds to move Old Fort in front 13-9. She then served the last two points, nailing another ace to cinch the game. Game two started off in a similar fashion with the scrappy Rangers on top 5-4. But the Stockaders' height advantage proved to be too much. Kara Kohlenberg and Kelsey Molyet nailed kills and Morgan Magers and Kohlenberg scored blocks as Old Fort pulled away to an 11-5 lead. Three Stockader errors and a kill by Northwood's Melissa Stoner saw the Rangers close to 11-9. But after four sideouts, a smash by freshman Shannon Nye returned service to the Old Fort. The Stockaders scored two points on errant Ranger hits. Ashley Fry then served an ace, and after two sideouts, a booming block by Kohlenberg ended the match. Northwood was led by setter Stacy Kozina who distributed the ball nicely and kept Old Fort guessing with her dump serves. The Rangers are now 3-1.
