Website Etiquette This website is dedicated to providing information about high school volleyball. While the website is not affiliated with or supported by officially recognized athletic and coaches associations, materials posted here should meet their standards for sportsmanship, and respect for teammates and opposing players. I want factual information that emphasizes the positive aspects of the game. It goes without saying that materials submitted to the website shall not contain profanity, bigotry, enmity, and/or anything derogatory. Language that is inappropriate inside a high school classroom or during a volleyball match is also inappropriate on this website. In addition, I want to avoid all negative types of comments, particularly if they involve individuals. As an example, suppose you submit news about your match with your archrival. You trailed 13-6 in Game 5, but came back to win, partly do to mistakes by the opponent. In the above case it is acceptable to write about your great comeback, and name players on your team who contributed to it. It is also OK to say something good about your opponents by name. But don't get into who made mistakes, or negative comments about plays. It is sufficient to say there was a hitting error, net serve or whatever. When providing news of a negative nature, please be sensitive to other people's feelings, and pretend you are writing about yourself.
